- فِيهِ ذِكْرُ «بَلْدَح» ، بِفَتْحِ الْبَاءِ وَسُكُونِ اللَّامِ، وَالْحَاءِ الْمُهْمَلَةِ اسْمُ مَوْضِعٍ بِالْحِجَازِ قرْب مَكَّةَ.

بَلْدَحَ: ضَرَبَ بنفْسِهِ الأرض، ووعَدَ ولم يُنْجِزِ العِدَةَ،
كتَبَلْدَحَ.
وامراةٌ بَلْدَحٌ: بادِنَةٌ.
وبَلْدَحُ: وادٍ قِبَلَ مكَّةَ، أو جَبَلٌ بطريقِ جُدَّةَ، ورَأى بَيْهَسٌ المُلَقَّبُ بِنَعامَةَ قَوْماً في خِصْب، وأهلُهُ في شِدَّةٍ، فقال مُتَحَزِّناً بأَقارِبِهِ:
لكن على بَلْدَحَ قومٌ عَجْفَى
وابْلَنْدَحَ المَكانُ: اتَّسَعَ،
وـ الحَوْضُ: انْهَدَمَ.
والبَلَنْدَحُ: القصير السَّمينُ.
