قومــي: قومــي (كومي باليونانية) وهذا ما ذكره سونثيمر.
وفيه: قومــيني، وقومــني ... وهو ذنب الخيل. (ابن البيطار 2: 329). وربما كان الاسم الذي ذكره ديسقوريدوس لهذه الكلمة باليونانية (2: 172). هو سبب تحريف هذه الكلمة إلى قومــيني وقومــني.
