العَيْدَانَة: أطول مَا يكون من النّخل، وَلَا تكون عيْدانَةً حَتَّى يسْقط كربها كُله وَيصير جذعها اجرد من أَعْلَاهُ إِلَى أَسْفَله، عَن أبي حنيفَة. وَقَالَ أَبُو عبيد: هِيَ كالرقلة.
