(يطد) وطدا رسا وَثَبت وَالشَّيْء وطدا وطدة أثْبته وَقواهُ فَهُوَ وطيد وموطود يُقَال وطد لَهُ منزلَة مهدها وَالْإِنْسَان إِلَى الأَرْض غمزه فِيهَا وأثبته عَلَيْهَا وَمنعه الْحَرَكَة وَالْأَرْض ضربهَا بالميطدة لتصل لأساس بِنَاء أَو غَيره والصخر على الْغَار سَده بِهِ ونضده عَلَيْهِ
