المنكر: [في الانكليزية] Bad action ،forbidden act ،perversion [ في الفرنسية] Mauvaise action ،action illicite ،perversion بضم الميم وفتح الكاف المخففة عند المحدّثين مقابل المعروف وقد سبق. وقال البعض المنكر بمعنى الشاذ، والحقّ الفرق بينهما كما مرّ.
المُنْكَر: خلافُ المعروف يعني ما أنكره الشرعُ قال القاري: "ثم العلماء إنما يُنكرون ما أجمع عليه الأئمة وأما المختلَف يه فلا إنكار فيه، لأنه على أحد المذهبين وكل مجتهد مصيب" (المرقاة شرح المشكاة).
