فعيل، بفتح أوله، وكسر ثانيه، من قولهم:
قفل من سفره إذا رجع إلى أهله: موضع في ديار طيّء، قال زيد الخيل قبل موته في قطعة ذكرت في فردة:
سقى الله ما بين القفيل فطابة ... فما دون أرمام فما فوق منشد
