سِمْنَك:
بكسر أوّله، وبعد الميم الساكنة نون، وآخره كاف: بليدة ملاصقة لسمنان المذكورة آنفا، وقد نسبوا إليها قوما من أهل العلم المتأخرين، منهم:
أبو الحسن القاسم بن محمد بن الليث السمنكي، سمع أبا خلف عبد الرحيم بن محمد بن خلف الآملي وغيره، ذكره أبو سعد في شيوخه وقال: توفي بعد سنة 531.
