والبَهْرَجَةُ: أن يُعْدَلَ بالشيءِ عن الجادَّةِ القاصِدَةِ إلى غيرِها.
والمُبَهْرَجُ من المِياهِ: المُهْمَلُ الذي لا يُمْنَعُ عنه،
وـ من الدِّماءِ: المُهْدَرُ، وقولُ أبِي مِحْجَنٍ لابنِ أبِي وقَّاصٍ: بَهْرَجْتَنِي، أي: هَدَرْتَنِي بِإِسْقاطِ الحَدِّ عنِّي.
