قعضب: القعْضَبُ: الضَّخْم الشَّديدُ الجَريء. والقَعْضَبَةُ: استِئصال الشَّيء. وقَعْضَبٌ: اسمُ رجل كان يعمَلُ الأسِنَّة في الجاهلية، وهو الذي ذكرَه طفيل الغنوي:

وعُوْج كأحْناءِ السَّراءِ مطت بها ... ضراغم تهديها أسِنَّةُ قَعْضَبِ
