TA.) You say, فُلَانٌ رَابِطُ الجَأْشِ Such a one restrains his soul, or himself, from flight, by reason of his courage; (
S A; *) is strong in heart; as also رَبِيطُ الجَأْشِ: (

q. v.) And وَاهِى الجَأْشِ [Infirm, or weak, in soul, or heart]. (
