ءزب


أَزَبَ(n. ac. أَزْب)
a. Flowed, ran (water).
تَأَزَّبَ
a. [acc. & Bain], Divided amongst.
أَزْبَةa. Famine.

أَزِبa. Long.

مَئْزَاْب
(pl.
مَآزِيْبُ)
a. Water-spout; gutter.
ء ز ب : الْمِئْزَابُ بِهَمْزَةٍ سَاكِنَةٍ وَالْمِيزَابُ بِالْيَاءِ لُغَةٌ وَجَمْعُ الْأَوَّلِ مَآزِيبُ وَجَمْعُ الثَّانِي مَيَازِيبُ وَرُبَّمَا قِيلَ مَوَازِيبُ مِنْ وَزَبَ الْمَاءُ إذَا سَالَ وَقِيلَ بِالْوَاوِ مُعَرَّبٌ وَقِيلَ مُوَلَّدٌ وَيُقَالُ مِرْزَابٌ بِرَاءٍ مُهْمَلَةٍ مَكَانَ الْهَمْزَةِ وَبَعْدَهَا زَايٌ وَمَنَعَهُ ابْنُ السِّكِّيتِ
وَالْفَرَّاءُ وَأَبُو حَاتِمٍ.
وَفِي التَّهْذِيبِ عَنْ ابْنِ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ يُقَالُ لِلْمِئْزَابِ مِرْزَابٌ وَمِزْرَابٌ بِتَقْدِيمِ الرَّاءِ الْمُهْمَلَةِ وَتَأْخِيرِهَا وَنَقَلَهُ اللَّيْثُ وَجَمَاعَةٌ.
