[لجن] تلجن الشئ: تلزج. (*) وتلجن رأسه، إذا غسله فلم ينق وسخه. ولَجَّنْتُ الخِطْمِيَّ ونحوه تَلْجيناً، إذا ضربته ليثْخُنَ. واللجينُ: الخبط، عن ابن السكيت، وهو ما سقط من الورق عند الخبطِ. قال الشماخ: وماءٍ قد وَرَدْتُ لوصْلِ أروى * عليه الطيرُ كالورق اللجينِ ويقال: تَلَجَّنَ القومُ، إذا أخذوا الورق ودقُّوه وخلطوه بالنوى لتعلفه الإبل. وناقةٌ لَجونٌ: ثقيلةٌ في السير. وقد لَجَنَت تَلْجُنُ لُجوناً ولِجاناً. واللجَيْنُ: الفضَّة جاء مصغَّراً، مثل الثريَّا والكميت.
