[زقق] الزِقُّ: السِقاءُ. وجمع القِلّةِ أزقاق، والكثير زقاق وزقان، مثل ذئاب وذؤبان. وتزقيق الجِلد: سلخُه من قِبَلِ رأسِه على خلاف ما يَسلخ الناسُ اليومَ. والزُقاقُ: السِكَّة، يذكَّر ويؤنث، قال الاخفش: أهل الحجاز يؤنثون الطريق والصراط، والسبيل والسوق، والزقاق والكلاء، وهو سوق البصرة. وبنو تميم يذكرون هذا كله. والجمع الزقاق والازقة، مثل حوار وحوران وأحورة. وزق الطائر فرخه يزقه، أي أطعمه بفيه. والزقزقة: ترقيص الطفل.
