وخف

1 وَخَفَهُ He beat it (namely خِطْمِىّ, IDrd, K, and in like manner سَوِيق, IDrd) with his hand, and moistened it in a طشت [or basin], (TA,) until it became viscous, or cohesive, (K, TA,) and became [fit for] food; (TA;) as also ↓ أَوْخَفَهُ (K) and ↓ وَخَّفَهُ. (TA.) 2 وَخَّفَ see 1.4 أَوْخَفَ see 1.

وخَفَ الخِطْمِيَّ يَخِفُه: ضَرَبَهُ حتى تَلَزَّجَ،
كأَوْخَفَهُ فَوَخَفَ، لازِمٌ مُتَعَدٍّ،
وـ فلانناً: ذَكَرَهُ بقَبيحٍ.
وأوخَفَ: أسْرَعَ.
والوَخيفةُ: ما أوخَفْتَه من الخِطْمِيِّ.
والمُوخِفُ، كمُحْسِنٍ: الأحمقُ، أي: يُوخفُ زِبْلَهُ كما يُوخَفُ الخِطْمِيُّ، وطعامٌ من أقِطٍ مَطْحونٍ، يُذَرُّ على ماءٍ، ثم يُصَبُّ عليه السَّمْنُ، أو الخَزيرَةُ، أو تَمرٌ يُلْقَى على الزُّبْدِ فَيُؤْكَلُ، والماءُ الذي غَلَبَ عليه الطِّينُ، وبَتُّ الكائِكِ.
والوَخْفَةُ: شِبْهُ خَرِيطَةٍ من أدَمٍ.
واتَّخَفَتْ رِجْلُهُ: زَلَّتْ، أصْلُه: اوتَخَفَتْ.
