مَوْثِبٌ:
موضع الوثب، بكسر الثاء المثلثة ورواه ابن حبيب بفتح الثاء، قال أبو دؤاد الإيادي:
إنّ الأحبّة آذنوا بسواد ... بكر دبرن على الحمولة حاد
ترقى ويرفعها السراب كأنها ... من عمّ موثب أو ضناك خداد
عمّ: طوال، وضناك: ضخم، وقيل: العمّ النخل الطوال، والضناك: شجر عظيم.
