بالمدينة، قال مصعب بن الزبير: هو منسوب إلى عمرو بن الزبير بن العوّام. والحوض:
موضع بالبصرة فيما يقال، ينسب إليه أبو عمر حفص ابن عمر بن الحارث بن سحيرة الحوضي، حدّث عن شعبة وهشام بن أبي عبد الله الدّستواني وهمام، روى عنه البخاري في صحيحه وأحمد بن محمد الخزاعي الأصبهاني.
