اللَّطِيف: يُطلق على خَمْسَة معَان: الأول: سهل التشكل. الثَّانِي: رَقِيق القوام. الثَّالِث: قَابل الانقسام إِلَى أَجزَاء صَغِيرَة جدا. الرَّابِع: سريع التأثر عَن الملاقي. الْخَامِس: الشفاف. وَيفهم من الصِّحَاح أَنه يُطلق أَيْضا على الَّذِي يرفق فِي الْعَمَل وعَلى الْمُوفق وعَلى العاصم.
