الْإِنْكَار: ضد الْإِقْرَار. والهمزة قد تسْتَعْمل للإنكار التوبيخي أَي أَن مَا بعْدهَا مَا كَانَ يَنْبَغِي أَن يَقع وَأَن فَاعله ملوم مَذْمُوم نَحْو أتعبدون مَا تنحتون. وَقد تَجِيء للإنكار الإبطالي أَي أَن مَا بعْدهَا غير وَاقع وَإِن مدعيه كَاذِب نَحْو أفاصفاكم ربكُم بالبنين. ولإفادتها نفي مَا بعْدهَا لزم ثُبُوته إِن كَانَ منفيا لِأَن نفي النَّفْي إِثْبَات وَمِنْه قَوْله تَعَالَى {أَلَيْسَ الله بِأَحْكَم الْحَاكِمين} و {أَلَيْسَ الله بكاف عَبده} .
