1 هَثَّ, aor. هَثُّ, inf. n. هَثٌّ, He mixed a thing, one part with another. (M.) b2: هَثَّ, [aor. هَثِّ,] inf. n. هَثٌّ, He lied. (IAar, K.) R. Q. 1 هَثْهَثَ, inf. n. هَثْهَثَةٌ, He mixed, or confounded; like مَثْمَثَ. (TA.) هثهث أَمْرَهُ He confounded his affair. (TA.) b2: هَثْهَثَ, inf. n. هَثْهَثَةٌ, It was mixed, or confounded. (S, K.) b3: هَثْهَثَ, (inf. n. هَثْهَثَةٌ, K,) He (a magistrate, S) acted unjustly, injuriously, or tyrannically. (S, K.) b4: هثهث النَّاسَ He (a magistrate) acted unjustly, injuriously, or tyrannically, towards the people. (TA.) A2: هَثْهَثَ, inf. n. هَثْهَثَةٌ, It sent forth quickly: (K:) [ex.] هَثْهَثَتِ السَّحَابَةُ بِقُطْرِهَا وَثَلْجِهَا The cloud sent forth quickly its rain and its snow. (S.) A3: هَثْهَثَ, inf. n. هَثْهَثَةٌ (and هثهاث, TA) He trod, or trampled, vehemently. (K.) b2: It (a pasturing herd or flock) trod the fresh green pasture until it was destroyed, حتى يوتى [So in the L, app. حَتَّى يُؤُتِىَ].) هَثٌّ and ↓ هَثْهَثَةٌ and ↓ هثهاث A confusion of sounds, noises, or voices, in war or a raising of a loud cry, or clamour, or confused noise (M,) [App. inf. n., of which the verbs are هَثَّ and هَثْهَثَ]

هَثْهَثَةٌ and ↓ هَثْهَاثٌ A word imitative of somewhat of the speech of how who has the (??) kind of pronunciation (??) لُثْغَة (TA.) See هَثٌّ هَثْهَاثٌ Quick (K) rain (TA.) b2: هَثْهَاثٌ Confused, confounded: (K,) an epithet applied to a man. (TA.) b3: See هَثٌّ b4: And see هَثَّاثٌ and هَثْهَثَةٌ b5: هَثْهَاثٌ A town, or district, abounding with dust. (K) هِثْهَاثٌ: see هَثٌّ.
